OT OT For a very good picture of what life in ahfganistan is like, watch "Beneath the Veil" tonight at 7:00 on CNN. I watched it late last Wed night. Portions not suitable for children--shows public executions...a mother who feeds her 7 children handfuls of moldy bread for dinner...details the telbab thugs shooting a mother in front of her daughters & what they then did to her pre-teen daughters. These people live in absolute dirt poverty. Women can not leave their homes w/out male escort--or risk public execution.

This 30 minute documentary made it clear to me that we MUST gamble and assist telbab's opposition to take power. There are no buildings left to bomb--even their capitol is nothing more than a collection of shelled out stone buildings. This is harsh but after watching "Beneath the Veil", it seems to me that the only thing in Ahfgan "worth" bombing are the "telebabans" and their terrorists.

If anyone else saw "Beneath the Veil", I would appreciate your comments.
