Imperialism as an historical phenomenon is inseparable from economics. Imperialism IS economics. It is redundant in the extreme to refer to something called "economic imperialism." "Imperialism" would suffice.

What len was describing is not imperialism, its power politics - realpolitik. Making decisions based upon political and economic realities is not Imperialist, its Realist. Wrong application of a term.
