Continuing: The nation-state -this dangerous anachronism- is aware that is going the way of the dinosaur. So it has to constantly reassert itself. It knows that terror is the best weapon to keep people on the edge so they can't see the truth. Tell the Russians were coming, worked very well. Money was doled out by the container load to fight the Russians. In the end the enemy proved to be a Third World farmers' country that can't bolt a decent car's gear box together.

When the nation-state runs about of bogey men, anyone that appears in front of it is good for the job. Hence the rapid reaction of all nation-states. We stand against terrorism. Terrorism foots the bill nicely. But I am not buying that. It is economic factors that is driving this world today. (witness how they keep one eye on the reins of power and another in the economy. A fine balance indeed. Not the bureaucrats. That's why this commotion and its reaction cannot stand for much longer.

I give you one month and we will have a whole lot of pacifists against this thing. Fear works very well. But you need a shot of fear every day. But there won't be skyscrapers falling off frequently. So the hand the nation-state is playing, will be a quick one.

Now if Jay disposes of the nation-state issued currencies and adopt gold, this will, further, undermine the power of the nation-state.
