I suspected the Taliban would say this - they tried to get him some time to "disappear" and they believe they can wash their hands of it hoping that when the US strikes, they are victims in the eyes of other Muslims.

Somehow I don't think this will work out just that way. People are smart enough to see through it.

Just days ago they claimed that Bin Laden could not have been involved because they took away all his communication equipment and were keeping a close eye on him..LOL>>
