Karin, Interesting post. However, I think Bob Woodward is going a little off the deepend in providing some dis- information here. There is plenty of evidence that these hyjackers were connected to Bin Laden. Most of them had spent time in Afghanistan. Most of them had plenty of cash on hand even though they didn't hold jobs. They didn't come here to "earn money" as Woodward claims. Also, most of them in fact, did not enter the country legally either, having falsified documents and lied about various things. He did actually leak out something interesting about the one WTC 1993 bomber though: the guy who is "missing" as noted on America's Most Wanted last night probably was the informant who ratted out his buddies before they had a chance to blow away the United Nations Building. He got his million dollars and indeed, probably owns a 7-11 in Omaha or something. -John

The groups, called "cells" by the FBI, are under intensive government surveillance. The FBI has not made any arrests because the group members entered the country legally in recent years and have not been involved in illegal activities since they arrived, the officials said. Amazing isn't it. We pay the government trillions of tax dollars and this is what we get. They let these people in whose sole existence is to destroy us. On the other hand OOOH get those white males trying to come here from Europe and send them packing. Every person I know who has come here from Europe tells of horror stories with immigration. But come here with a book in hand declaring your hatred of America and under CLinton we say oh good come right in we welcome you. Why maybe we can get you a scholarship to declare your hatred. It appears that we need to examine our institutions and see whose side these people are on.

One of the central questions the FBI has been struggling with is why the groups have stayed in the United States. What ?????? The central question should be WHAT THE HELL ARE THEY DOING HERE ? the central question should be WHAT LAW ALLOWS THEM TO BE HERE WHEN THEIR STATED GOAL IS OUR DESTRUCTION When I came here legally from Canada 30 years ago the immigration officer warned me that if I stepped out of line or did anything wrong I would be sent packing. What has changed in those years ?
