Chinton, to be really fair the Economist should have done relative comparison. The DOW was down more than 14% last week while gold was up 6%. A paltry 6%? A twenty-point difference between the two shouldn't be downplayed like it was. The thing that surprises me the most is the people that have visited this thread in the past with an anti-gold stance saying precious metals will be washed out along with everything else. Where are these intellectuals now? Regards Frank P.
