I agree that each poster should try to find out if the article comes from a 'less reputable' source.
However, I also believe it is up to the readers to determine the validity of an article, rather than to treat the poster as if they had committed some idiotic transgression.
That's a quick way to discourage new people from contributing information to your forum.
There are different opinions about which news sources are legitimate and which have their own agendas.
If you wish to keep a only a small hand selected group of people contributing to your thread, that's a great way to do it.
We have freedom of the press for a reason.
I think the majority of people reading this thread are capable of deciding for themselves what is valid and what isn't, without one or two people doing the thinking for them. A good way to find out what is credible and what isn't, is staying on top of current events and seeing what the future tells us.
Anything less, smells like censorship.
