I agree, we certainly have the right ask the posters about their sources and also the right to ask for a link.
However, I question the right to arbitrarily discredit the source, i.e. too conservative, too liberal, etc.
I suggest that is a matter of opinion.

as readers, we should feel comfortable asking posters about their sources.

I hope people understand that when I post items from the Indian, Chinese, and Pakistani newspapers, I'm just trying to make those foreign viewpoints easily available to the thread.

On the other hand, I think items from US and European sources should be more carefully vetted or commented by the poster relative to the "thread's expectations", lest we be buried in an avalanche of questionable material.
