Since its birth, the IHT has had American ownership, first the Reid family of NY Herald-Tribune fame. It is now owned, I believe, by the NY Times and Washington Post. It is a superbly edited newspaper of perhaps 16-24 pages. Art Buchwald got his start there; that's how Ameriocan it is. It is sold in dozens of cities around the world. It is a godsend to expatriate Americans and tourists in far-flung places. Melikian often writes their auction roundup columns.
