Hi Larry, yes you are right. And even some folks who think they know math (they know the formula) would happily plug earnings and percentage growth into the formula for an infinite sum... Without ever pausing to think about the size of the numbers that are getting added up within the formula. Folks should construct a brute-force excel spreadsheet with a minimum 20 year horizon. It's dead trivial. And it is eye-opening to see what some people's projections mean in terms of revenue and earnings. Particularly relative to GDP. John.
