I have no site for current PEs of the major market indices, but you can get some S+P info at www.yardeni.com

I would say, however, that at the moment, the E of PE is in flux, and it's hard to judge by just how much. The Dow fell a lot this past week, for instance, but will earnings of Dow components decline by a similar amount due to the fallout from the tragedy of 9/11 and the world-rippling events that have and will follow? I dunno, and I have no real way of gauging it, either. Anecdotal evidence of falloffs in attendance at Disney theme parks and the loss of advertising dollars on Disney owned networks (ABC, the ESPNs, etc), could lead to a big reduction in earnings for them this quarter. For beyond? That's anyone's guess. And that's just one stock, and my mind is already to tired to go on <g/ng>
