Most people, yes, but a few have really lost it and it makes me sad to see folks digging themselves into emotional bunkers.

Anyway..... I can't tell you how relieved I was to see the armed agents on the flight. Both Providence and BWI were different places entirely this trip. People were quiet, wary, thanking the extra guards and security people for being there.

I also want to mention that things like metal nail files, nailcliipers and scissors, and corkscrews are being confiscated from carryon luggage.

But to be fair, most people have been much nicer since we were attacked.

Road manners are very different, too. At local spots where it used to take five or ten minutes to get into the line of traffic, everyone is politely letting you in immediately. Everybody is being nice to each other. It's like living in Canada.
