Hi HiTech; Re: "This describes a weak and impotent God who is unable to do anything, a God I wouldn't want." I'm not much of an expert, but I believe that the various religions don't suggest that God intervenes much in human affairs. When He does, I think they call it a "miracle", but don't hold your breath waiting for one. It doesn't bother me to see a cross hanging from the neck of the pilot for a flight I'm on, but if he accidentally clicks the intercom button and I hear a prayer like "please God, land this plane more skillfully than you did that time back in May", I'll be nervous. Heck, I'd even be nervous to hear "please God, help me fly this plane safely and I promise I'll never get wasted just before a flight again." -- Carl
