The answer for the reason of this hope is not related to the sticky (philosophical) problem of the existence of evil. Most religions are clear, especially Judeo-Christian, that we will not get all the answers, and are incapable of comprehending many mysteries about life and God. There are things we know and things that are uncertain. If we spend all our time in the realm of the uncertain and speculative, even what we can be sure of, what we do believe, comes into question.
