And what good is another rate cut anyway? Has it done anything to help? Has it done anything to encourage companies to spend? Haven't short rates been lower than the target anyway and has that helped?

My husband's company probably can't hang on waiting for congress to decide tech needs help. The next lay off they have will probably shut it down.

Congress acn take hours (this past week) or months (usually). I think we'll hear a lot more about the economy this week.
