>>I swear the cravings never truly go away. I can get to where I don't think about it and don't crave it, but the desire to fall off never really leaves<<

Having had some experience with this problem, I can tell you that not only will you not think about it and you won't crave it but the smell of smoke will bother you to the point that there will be no desire for it. Give it some time.

For the record I am 55 years old Lost one.. I smoke until I was 40 and on my 40th Birthday I smoked my last Winston(after switching from Camels) and quit..
I still think about smoking once in awhile have had one cigarette in 15 years..
Wake up in the middle of the night sometimes and cant breathe which I attribute to smoking for 26 years..started at 16...
The point do it for yourself for the quality of your life when you become an Old fart like me..<gg>

Listen to Rich1. My history was similar- -started at 15, quit when I was 38. I got cravings for years afterwards, but they've finally stopped. Took about 10 ears.

My wife, though, says she still has nightmares where I've started again. :-)

I never ever again intend to touch another coffin nail. It's just too difficult to get free of them

Most people, when they think of smoking health risks, think of lung cancer. The fact is that the biggest risk- -the thing most likely to kill you that is caused by that smoking- -is heart attack. I had a heart attack a few years ago. I'm here to tell about it; if I were still smoking, it would almost certainly have killed me.

Do yourself a BIG favor and quit.

Smoking probably costs you easily $1000 a year, right? Well, each year plan on buying yourself a present with that money. Something you really want.
