Jon, good point. I believe all the Lynksys products have switches buil-in. The only product that is a router only is the BEFSR11 - EtherFast 1-Port Cable/DSL Router that also has an uplink port. If there is no Switch built-in then the uplink port can't be used for a second computer. I'm using the BEFSR41 - EtherFast 4-Port Cable/DSL Router.

What model do you have Dale?

Good question - one PC can ping the other but reversing the ping from the second PC to the first does not work, using the DHCP-assigned IP's from Linksys.

I am sure that is important somehow......
