The bottom happens when the market stops going down. I doubt all stocks bottom the same day or will rally the same amount when the bottom is in finally.

How do you know the bottom is far away? Just because the market is down alot, doesn't mean it's going down alot more.

And as the nikkei has proven, just because it looks like it's bottomed since it hasn't fallen in a very long time, doesn't mean that it has.

You're smarter than me if you can pick THE bottom.

Wasn't too long ago that we were on the way to a new bull run. I think we topped out that same day.
