Yes indeed. Yesterday's Prayer for America meeting in New York clearly demonstrates the mainstream thinking accross the land. Instead of turning to God in this time of trial, most are turning to patriotism and human reason for answers. Very much like Israel did in the Old Testament when the Eternal tried His people. They even had the priests of Baal on the stage imploring their various gods and making political speeches- honouring men and indulging in the sin God abhors most: pride. They have failed to understand that America's (and any country for that matter) strenght and power come directly from the Almighty and that we need to return to Him if we wish to maintain those liberties and prosperity which we have come to take for granted. The lies have taken deep root and only a revival led by the power of the Holy Spirit can break the chains of sin and open the blinded eyes. As Christians, that is our duty: pray for a divine visitation.
