Which could have very much to do with those cancellation, delays etc. I planned to go to Canada by late September but now postpone it not because of anything but afraid of those unnecessary delay or cancellation and decided to wait till the situation is back to normal.

That is also why I responded to Amy J about why I think it is bad if US government keep on sending out the signal that US is in constant danger of large scale attack is not going to help. It is not the threat that deter people, it is the inconvenience caused by the threat(that is controllable by the government IMO).

If the airline can tell me that they are back to normal and can arrive on time with no foreseeable cancellation because of these so called terrorist threat, I would fly tomorrow.

What would you call it then? Stocking up on guns is hardly a rational response to terrorism. All it does is increase the feeling of security for the owner. Sounds like an act borne out of fear to me.
