Well, I was sure you'd try to justify those attacks (and conventional raids on other cities like Tokyo or Dresden) and I'm sure Bin-Laden and co. will justify attacking the World Trade Centre and certainly the Pentagon. I could just say "using passenger planes to bomb the Pentagon will always kill civilians."

That doesn't mean I think those raids shouldn't have been carried out. I just don't see the point of demonizing the enemy and pretending that our side doesn't engage in similar tactics in many cases.

Maybe many people do need to demonize the enemy, politicians certainly seem to think so.... Other times they want to demonize refugees like our government here at the moment pushing through draconian immigration bills (with support of the Labor party) and leading Labor now 50 to 35% in the polls after being behind a couple of months ago (Federal elections coming soon). Only the Democrats and Greens are voting against this legislation.

In the meanwhile the Taliban is on the retreat from the Northern Alliance....
