<I hope all the clever money managers who sold billions of shares last week underperform the market (as usual) as a result.> Oh you mean the ones who sold out of some of the best and fastest growing companies of the future to buy deep cyclicals and defensive stocks at premium prices? Or do you mean the ones who sold out and 'invested' the funds assets in 2% money market and 3.5% bonds? Neither will leave much of a return after the 1% management fee. Glancing the fund listing in the Sunday paper shows a whole lot, probably majority down 20% plus for the year.
