"unilateralism." President Bush has been consulting with our allies during this
crisis, and that's good.


Did you hear Bush speak this morning? He was talking about freezing assets in the US and how the European countries will have to change their laws to do the same thing. I could just feel the collective cringe in Europe. I think unilateralism is more palatable than pretend multilateralism.

Bush has an absolutely marvelous speech writer. I wish he'd leave the off-the-cuff remarks to Powell.
