This was a low tech and low resource effort. There was nothing that required an IQ of more than one standard deviation below normal. I agree with you on that and it is indeed scary. Where I disagree is with the solutions. Where you would want to squish all Moslems, Arabs, or whatever that you profile and suspect that they do not agree with you - by declaring war on all those that you disagree with - would not solve the problem. We are now talking about any group(s) of people with a grievance or are likely to have a grievance. They could be religious fanatics, Timothy McVey types, or even Columbine HS types. But, I am overall more hopeful than you are. I believe benign solution exists - using technology to make large scale destruction fool proof. Mary
