Luminant Announces Investor Group Foregoes First Right to Exercise Put
HOUSTON, Sept. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Luminant Worldwide Corporation (Nasdaq: LUMT - news), a leading provider of technology-enabled business solutions, today announced the decision by its debenture holders not to exercise put rights last Friday, September 21, 2001.

On September 21, 2000, Luminant entered into a convertible debenture purchase agreement with Montrose Investments Ltd., Strong River Investments Inc. and James R. Corey, Luminant's chief executive officer. The convertible debentures are due on September 21, 2003. Under the terms of the agreement the holders of the debentures have the option to put to Luminant, on the first anniversary of the agreement and a quarterly basis thereafter, all or any portion of the outstanding debentures. Following conversations with the Company, the investment group decided to forego the first put opportunity last Friday.

``We are very pleased to make this announcement,'' noted Don Perkins, Luminant's chairman of the board. ``Luminant continues to make tangible progress during these difficult economic times. Last September Luminant's management team set a goal to return to profitability by the first quarter of 2001, and they have delivered on that promise. The ongoing support from our investors, including Montrose Investments and Strong River Investments, has been important in the success of the company.''
