What type of government intervention do you have in mind? Directly in the markets? Can't really imagine that. If you mean further interest rate cuts and some deficit spending, yeah, probably, and that would be mildly stimulative. As far as where markets will be five years from now, I really don't know. LSI itself has a decent chance of doubling sometime during that period, though it may end the period without much change. That would be a relatively muted up cycle, in keeping with new uncertainties and probably lower overall economic growth. I don't think most investors have pie-in-the-sky expectations anymore. Otherwise, there wouldn't have been such a massive sell-off last week. Having said that, given the cyclicality of semis and that LSI has been beaten down quite a bit in this downcycle, imagining that LSI could double from its lows within the next several years is not revisiting pre-bubble mania, but just recognizing that semis swing significantly.
