OK..Kirk..here's the plan to get Bin Laden Plan straight from the Pentagon....(don't ask how I know)

Bin Laden is already triangulated to a small corner of Afghanistan. But there is no hurry to get him. Wherever he goes we know. The CIA (indirectly) sent him a GPS for his birthday that had some extra functions built into it.
But the real plan is this. We want to know who Bin Laden's real friends are. We hope that they try to contact him over the next few weeks. We need to clean up the mess about the Taliband that thinks they are the government of Afghanistan. Maybee we get lucky and Bin Laden uses his cell phone and we get to find out who he is calling. Capturing Bin Laden too soon would cut off an important source of information. So the plan is get the supporting cast first and them come back the prime suspect.

Essentially Bin Laden is like an expired option...not worth a whole lot at any point in the future.
