Screeners at the Atlanta airport (which is frequently the busiest in the U.S.) are paid $7.00/hour. That is less the food service workers (i.e. the fry guy at the airport McDonalds).

Re: Seattle; "I'm hoping you can clarify this for me."

No it wasn't WTO. I was referring to the Y2K celebrations all over the continent. All large cities were on high alert for these events, and the mayor of Seattle decided (and rightly so) to cancel all events because of the potential terrorist threat.

"I place the pragmatic goal of making the economies of debtor nations work more successfully to be a worthy goal."

I share your dream.

Thanks for validating my opinion. All these threads on this fabulous website are just opinions, formed by many cultures and experiences through many years, with varying results. Nobody has the right answer, but if we can open our eyes to all the views out there, then can we truly move forward.

re: FT.com; you're welcome, that IS a great site.

Have a great day!

John

Now this I disagree with: cnnfn.cnn.com

Any stimulus would be short lived, and would prevent our economy emerging stronger than what would be at best a weak house of cards. Best let the economy figure this one out. Assuming that economies are efficient, which I believe.

We'll have to see,

John
