If there's anything that I'm really against it's the FAA taking over the security of the airports. Everything they've done in the past is wrong. They still have computers that use TUBES! because they can't get their act together enough to award a contract to upgrade their systems. That it works at all is a miracle.

The FAA knows nothing of security. Where would they get the people? It would be the same ones working for the private firms that the airlines hire - people that can just barely pass the language test and are paid minimum wage.

If anything, it should be the FBI or CIA. Private security firms and the FAA don't have access to the G2 that the FBI or CIA can provide. Perhaps we should take a look at how Israel conducts their security.

These threats are not going to go away. We're going to have to live a different way of life because of it and adapt to the change. Other countries have done it. England lives with terrorist threats everyday from the IRA.
