kash,

re: No terrorist would have have showed up as they would have been shot dead on the spot.

With some of the flight rage I've seen over the years, I think the flight attendants, pilot, and co-pilot would have also been shot dead on the spot. Along with some crying babies, or the parents who let them run all over the plane, folks that recline their seat backs, drunks, people that arrive late and bring on carry ons that don't fit in the overhead bin, 300 pounders in middle seats, folks with bad breath, women that wear 16 ounces of perfume, people that want to talk the whole flight about their vacations, people that get up to walk around just as the flight is about to pull away from the gate, people that won't share the armrest, people with countenance problems that sit in the window seat...

Grrr, where the HELL is my gun!!!!

John

RE:"Dont you think that if we let people take arms freely onto planes that the events of last week would not have been possible."

Now you are being silly.
The key was that the passengers and crew didn't think they would die crashing into a building. Apparently the Pittsburgh planes passengers did and you know the result of that. They tried to take over the plane.

Where did you hear the sky marshalls make $80k-100k a year?

They could save a lot of money if they just made the active military and reserves ride the planes...
