The Western CBs have already sold and lent much of their gold. There is not nearly as much left as many think. And they will NEVER dump all of it, because then they would no longer be able to influence the price.

I maintain the attack on WTC will be seen a major turning point for gold. The sense of US invulnerabilty -- a key element of the dollar bull -- has been destroyed. The western CBs still have enough ammunition to keep the price down awhile longer, but not too much longer IMHO.

You point about asset freezes is a good one. As more people become aware that their financial assets can be frozen at will by governments, the impact on gold demand could be quite substantial.
