stockman scott, RE: Lawmaker asks SEC to consider halting short selling: Last week, most probably, short covering was one of the few stabalizing forces in the market. Halt short selling, and the market will get much more volatile, and overall valuations will be lower in the long run. Keep an eye on the short interest numbers that will be released next month. As long as you don't see a huge rally, they'll decline.

Dell to Revive Sales Pact with EMC dailynews.yahoo.com people familiar with the matter say Dell will resell and cooperate on development of EMC's Clarion storage systems. These would be the same Clarion storage systems that Dell used to get from Data General.
