Mr Vedrine, in your opinion is it because there were no jews left in Egypt that Nasser invited all those (300) nazi scientists to built missiles.

Are you aware of the informal discussions held on the Sinaï border to Israel in 1951-2 between Nasser, then army officer and Rabin later PM, where Nasser was telling Rabin many times over that it was not in his political interest to have good relations with the Jews, because he'll need them later ? Ref : Rabin's memoirs.

Most historians agree that this so-called "Lavon affair" was trumped up to distract attention from the purge of the Moslem Brotherhood which took place at the same time. Nasser published a bunch of documents explaining that both Communism and Zionism desired world domination. Not the sort of stuff that rational people take seriously.

To get an idea of what it was like to be a Jew in Egypt, you might read this plaintive letter to the editor, written by a Muslim in 1948,

"In seems that most people in Egypt are unaware of the fact that, among the Moslem Egyptians, there are some of white skin. Every time I take the tramway I hear people around me saying, while pointing at me with their fingers, "A Jew...a Jew..." I have been beaten more than once because of this. This is why I beg you kindly to publish my photo, specifying that I am not a Jew and that my name is Adham Moustafa Ghaleb."

Your post is extremely false and misleading:

>>Israel had recruited the native born Jewish community in Egypt to betray their native land and fellow citizens on behalf of Zionist intrigue.<<

You state that the entire community was recruited. Yet, the very link you cited to states:

Naturally, the eventual exposure of such an organization was not going to improve the lot of the vast majority of Egyptian Jews who wanted nothing to do with Zionism.

Yet, you say: "The Jewish community in Egypt had proven that they were willing to betray their native land, commit sabotage and murder, to further the Zionist agenda."

So, therefore what you are defending is the expulsion of an entire community that did not even believe in Zionism, for the acts of a few, which by any definition is a war crime and a crime against humanity. You also state, very plainly, that the whole community did this, when your source says the opposite.

How do you rationalize this? is this clear antisemitism--to take a source saying one thing about a Jewsih community, and to twist it around as saying someting competely different?

there are very few Jews living in Egypt today.

And why is that? There were 40,000 Jews living in Alexandria Egypt when the Muslims first arrived there in 672AD...

And there were only 70,000 in 1947.... What happened? Almost stagnant birth rates for 1300 years??

And then after 1956, Jews were imprisoned and expelled from Egypt... Despite the fact that they had lived there for centuries as a community.

And considering that NO ONE had political representation in Egypt because it was(is) a dictatorship, there was no one to represent and protect their affairs.

And if I follow your logic with the "Levon Affair" then I guess the US will commence mass deportations of Arab-Americans commencing tomorrow, right??

Or the Israelis would be entirely justified in kicking out all of its Arab population because some extremist suicide bombers decide to take the short path to Allah's "judgement", along with a bunch of innocent civilians.

Thus, I guess you're giving Sharon your blessing to fully occupy the West Bank and "deal with" the extremists...

And since Palestinians on the west bank have been polled at a 3-1 ratio as supporting suicide bombings, I guess the Israelis can kick them out too... Right?

Funny how what's good for the "Goose", isn't quite right for the "gander".....
