Outnumbered 10 to 1? That's what the Zionist propaganda machine would like the world to believe, but reality is quite different. The Israeli/Jewish army, in fact, outnumbered the combined Arab armies. The Jewish army had been trained by the allied forces and given huge amounts of equipment. The Arab forces were untrained, poorly armed and inferior in numbers to the Jewish forces. In addition. the poorly armed and outnumbered Arab forces had no central command. Israel provoked the war of 48 in order to grab the Negev Desert(the land of Palestinian Bedouins) and parts of the West Bank and Gaze, land set aside for a Palestinian state according to the UN partition. Truman's daughter clearly recorded in her memoirs that the Zionist were dissatisfied with the partition because they wanted more of Palestine, including the Negev.
