I hate to say it, but I don't think Carter deserves heat for yesterday. He is an ultra-professional who has made it because of hard work, dedication, focus - not because of overwhelming talent, and he overcame personal problems, to boot. He is a team leader, and I believe he has the right to chew out his team if they aren't performing. Randy Moss, on the other hand, is a lazy, underachieving, full-of-himself youngster, who has no right to criticize anyone. Am I correct that Moss, but not Carter, was yelling at Culpepper? Granted, Culpepper is a moron for throwing the ball away on 4th down. But, he's young and it's the coach's fault for trying to develop a young QB. The impression I have is that Moss yells at teammates for their lack of talent or experience, whereas Carter yells at teammates for laziness and lack of focus and preparation. But, I didn't watch the game, and I don't follow the situation to closely.

P.S. My prediction on the Vikings going into this season was that IF they started off slowly, the wheels could come off. I said that based on the locker room antics in their playoff losses the last two years.

Tom
