do you have any information to indicate CW hasn't had a single order or installation? going back to the comments by gideon at the last cc: "...gaining traction with customers, but have not announced customers, yet."

In early 1997 I was an investor with Cascade Communications. They had several BETAs going for their CBX500 ATM switch. In April 1997, ASND bought them out. In January 1998 they announced their first win - to Williams I believe. That was the start of a string of contract announcements that totaled between $1 Billion and $2 Billion during 1998. After those wins, LU started eyeing ASND and a year later bought them for something like $14 Billion.

Then LU blew it. They didn't follow up the CBX500, which was a 2.5Gbps ATM switch, with a 10Gbps product. The market turned away from pure switches, to Switch-Routers, giving JNPR it's big chance.

Knowing some things about those BETAs, I stayed with ASND in 1997, and actually quadrupled my investment in them when they fell to $22 in November-December 1997 - just before the contract wins started being announced. I sold that in the $60s and $70s about 8 months later.

Charlotte's is playing to the same market. Things take a while. We just have to be patient. Oh, and I more than quadrupled my MRVC when it fell below $3.
