I think they are being given great latitude right now by the NASD and SEC. I actually feel some sympathy. Must be patriotism or something <g>.

And I saw some incredible backing away and walking away on the part of the Nasdaq market makers on Friday at the open. Simply incredible

How can a market maker back away on a fully soesable NNM stock? They do not approve orders anymore on these stocks, We simply pick off the liquidity now just as if they were ecn's. Have you used your Soes key yet? SNET is pretty much basically dead under the new rules therefore backing away from a snet order is impossible.

Oz
