I have some of them on another playlist in progress...Dylan, Joni Mitchell, and Colvin...and ELP <From The Begining>.....hmmmm.....now if I could just get you to listen to Rick Astley, we'd have more in common !!! ;-) Some I have never heard, and i think tomorrow I should clear up some space on my hard disk and get the Morpheus and my pc working to check all these out.... Says there is NO WAY she wants to be away from home and us and especially the kids for HS and College. I've been thinking about that unfinished project for my daughter....esp since her special birthday is 2 months away...... Your compilation is perfect, at least the part I have heard before and/or could download from the web. A few from your list I hadn't heard before and couldn't get them from Morpheus. Do you have them ? I added a few others, the ones by Lonestar make my eyes water... I think we're headed for a double CD. Also did a set of 4 compilations recently for a dear friend who will shortly be leaving US permanently….nothing very exotic, just some of my everyday favorites, mostly country....a lot of overlap with the previous compilations...but they seem to be flowing pretty ok... CD#3 was the most challenging to come up with….! At one point it looked like a Billy Joel, Justin Hayward disk, and I decided to do a separate Hayward solo disk….which came out great. It then threatened to become a Bob Dylan, Eva Cassidy disk, and I had to do 2 more solo disks to do justice to these great singers. This particular compilation on CD#3 is inspired by a friend’s candid disclosure that Bonnie Tyler was a guilty pleasure :-) CD#4 is inspired by Lost1 who introduced me, among others, to Wilco, Summerteeth and Billy Bragg. The 4th is still WIP. Most of the selection leans towards melancholy. I have been playing around with these songs for the last 2 months on this thread, so…….
