Dan, Gore wasn't in that much danger in Vietnam. He wasn't even in the bush was he?

Your saying it's not a hard decision to take someone's life, boy you are cold.

Gore didn't kill anyone, that's not going to war. I just buried my Uncle who was a Pearl Harbor Survivor. Don't even think of putting Gore in the same class.

M.

Gore stood up for his country and went to war - when he could have weaseled himself out of it, as so many others did. For God's sake, give the guy some credit, if for nothing else then for the sake of those others who may be doing the same thing as we sit here in our cozy homes.

Dan, I am afraid any kind of reasonableness is hopeless. I posted on this thread recently that this former neighbor, who I thought was a really decent person, referred to Clinton as the anti christ, and Gore and Lieberman as baby killers last week. Her father is a Rep. mayor of a city in TX.

Its amazing she held back these slurs for the three years I have known them. It must have been killing her. Interestingly enough, she and her husband threw a party this past weekend. When I called her on Saturday and said we wouldn't be able to make it, she got kind of upset. She said that I was the 8th person to cancel at the last minute.

I guess she must have exposed a number of people to her slurring. <g>
