RE:"If we arm everybody surely we end up with a killer deterrent."

Surely you jest. The Airlines would never go for it anyway.

"El Al" planes carry a Marshal, double steel cockpit doors and profile passengers...and they haven't had a highjacking since 1968 despite being a big target.
That would be enough of a deterrent.

I'd be surprised if the terrorists stayed with that exact method anyway...

I think the real question you have to ask yourself is,,,is the nasdaq a total farce (or is the system based on something other than cosmic numero-ology &F, #can't they rewrite the algorithm)

That is the question that used to keep me up at night.

Now i've resolved to the fact that its normal business (manners) to expect price movement based on nothing but what has been dumped in the lap of the market makers.

That's the only thing that determines price movements.

It's not about supply and demand.
It's about the long term effects of what has been dumped in the laps of the market makers.
That sucks.

Can't they bring back soes abuse or something.

You need a retroactive explanation of all this stuff.
Well supply and demand, or the perception of supply and demand is determined by how much stock is passed back and forth (like gas) between market makers.(and believe me the smell is worse) that creates the perception of demand. the pump comes and well,

You know the rest of the story.

Or in the oposite case the dump comes on big volume and the price has to be adjusted so the market makers don't lose money. that's all there is to the game.

None of this other stuff matters.

None of this perception of Grand Puh Bah Economics or Micro Puh Bah Economics. NOne of that stuff really matters in the big picture.
