While the particular incident that is freshest in our mind appears to have been perpetrated by Moslems, I wouldn't single out that religion. Consider the atrocities in Africa, for instance, or Northern Ireland, or (as described in that Economist article) Japan. Consider also the hatred-laced Falwell reaction to the WTC. And part of the problem is that there's such an assortment of Moslem "religious leaders" (and leaders of other religions, for that matter) that I doubt you'll ever get unanimity of opinion. JMHO.
