fyodor,

re: nvidia

My problem is that folks here were looking at it as the second coming and a major boost for AMD.

From what i have observed there is not much middle ground.

Box makers either pump out low end MB machines for the massess with size of Drive,Mmeory and CPU speed as differentiatros. Just look at success of Intels crummy 810/815 integrated MB's.

Clearly nvidia is a non-starter in this segment.

Or they offer the latest Graphics card with some differentiation for amount of memory etc.

Box makers dont carry 3-4 different graphics cards with different amounts of memory etc.

Even if nvidia IS successfull the product will require box makers to change their current biz/inventory model. Not vey likely IMHO.

At best it may be a modest success but not the second coming like it was trumpeted here.

regards,

Kash
