The CPQ purchase has declined in value about $10 billion since the day that it was announced.

That decline is about triple the market cap of AMD.

TAIPEI (Dow Jones)Silicon Integrated Systems Corp. (Q.SLN) has launched its second chipset in a matter of weeks that supports Intel Corp.'s (INTC) Pentium 4 range of microprocessors.

The SiS650 chipset has the same specifications as the SiS645, which was unveiled in August and also functions with the Pentium 4. In addition, the new chipset integrates the 256 bit 2D/3D graphics chip SiS315, according to a company press release.

The SiS650 functions with Double Data Rate (DDR) and synchronous dynamic random access memory (DRAM) chips and supports the DDR333, DDR266 and PC133 memory standards.

Priced at US$39 each for a 10,000 unit order, the chipset is targeted at the US$800US$1200 personal computer market and will start shipping in volume in October, the release said.
