I had a similar experience with a car loan recently. I thought I wanted to go with the 0.9% manufacturer financing, but my bank manager showed me how I'd be better off with their 17.99% preferred customer package because of the lower payments, which will be complete by June 2019.

I'm so glad I have friends with business savvy, otherwise someone might have been able to take advantage of me.

but I managed to get 4 points out of them

Sounds great, Brooklise!!
The more you pay, the more you can "deduct"..just make sure that you were "buying"..not "refinancing"..so you can take full advantage of it. <gg>

Btw, my departure-flight(Sat morning) was about 80% empty...but I got back yesterday afternoon and it was quite full.
