Also, stop making even gloomier predictions when your last ones are realized. I believe in free speech but it seems you have some kind of eerie control over the market and therefor you must be stopped at all costs. Don't ask how. I have a market fundamentalist associate--enough said!!! * Second, you are besmirching the reputation of the fair city of Eugene. The next thing you know it will be on the list of the 10 worst cities for anarchists and their associates. As I'm sure you are aware, that would be quite a change in status and would likely have an appreciable negative effect in incremental revenue from anarchists and their families. In other words, they should either change that menu or silence voices such as yours which champion the culinary rights of jailed anarchists. The next thing you know, even nihilists will avoid Eugene, and probably Portland, as the ripple effect begins. * Third, I agree that those who act outside of the protection of the laws and the constitution have no special rights to be free from criminal penalties. Interestingly enough, sometimes the best civic lesson is to be under the control of someone in a situation where you have very few rights and privileges. Jail sort of fits that description. I've heard that in some jails you cannot even get a good spinach salad or a fine wine. I guess that jails really are overrated. * Finally, are you suggesting that the antidote for anarchism is anarchism?? That reminds me of the old Big Dog saying that the cure for $5 oil is $5 oil. Some concepts have universal application. Maybe what we are seeing, and will see more of, is that the cure for a stock valuation bubble was a stock valuation bubble. I am hoping that the cure for a down market is a down market but so far it looks like the down market is the cure for a bubble. Oh well, as Gottfried said to Dabum, "Will you ring a bell when it's over?" GG. Ed
