yep...the usual confusion resulting from spending too much time in the ivory tower. i guess people should know ever since the infamous Irving Fisher proclaimed his 'permanent plateau' theory of stock prices in 1929 that these dudes are remarkably clueless when it comes to markets. Shiller being the exception to the rule apparently.

scholar James Glassman is a journalist, and scholar Kevin Hassett was an assistant/associate prof at Colombia who couldn't get tenure and went to work for the Fed.

they hang their hats (and presumably their heads after that ridiculous book) at the AEI now
