I guess I'd better get a fire extinguisher to set next to the computer...then again I haven't heard any reports of Gateway Athlon systems starting fires...

I suspect the one cost, one platform, cost cutting, "we're losing money", "wanna be like Dell" syndrome had something to do with it.

Nice fantasy, you're enjoying. AMD has doubled its market share in the last year - cutting it out of Intel's hide in big chunks.
