2:05PM ET Advanced Micro (AMD 9.22 -0.58) is halted. There has been
recent speculation that Micron (MU 20.91 -1.38) will purchase AMD.
Another possibility is that AMD warns. It'll be a big mover one way or the
other very soon....

Not necessarily. The two being closed are older fabs.

It has been handled VERY poorly.

No need for a mid day halt.

It could have been spun as a positive, but completely fumbled.

On same day as GTW news leads folks to worry about another shoe dropping.

If there is bad news and they must know it by now - they should have gotten it out in one shot with an after hours conf call.

But hey what do u expect from these clowns.
