On positions where I don't want to sell the underlying, I wouldn't be selling calls right now.

Well, ok. I so wanted to find a reason to start with cc writing again.

John... I did some what the same thing...When we had the great run up Monday I sold Nov Msft 55 for 3.10 and Nvda 35's for 2.50. Two days later I bought them back and made a buck on 14 contract's. I knew the run up was too good to last. I'm just trying to day trade some options to help resurrect a decimated portfolio...and after today's news, likely to be more so as time goes by in the short term. In the meantime I keep reducing my cost basis on some of these longer term positions. If nothing else it makes me feel like I'm doing something in the midst of feeling paralyzed! Good Luck PoetTrader
