Thanks for the observations. It sure would be worthwhile for many more threadsters to post similar comments.

I checked with stores in close to 50 municipalities during the week following the WTC. All but a handful reported serious Y-O-Y drops in revenues. Upscale Toronto was within the handful group. But even there, the Y-O-Y comparison was down for the stores I checked. I will post more as it unfolds. I would also encourage others on the thread to post what they are seeing.

Keep in mind that suburban Toronto is one of the most prosperous areas in Canada. You should come over to Hamilton and spend an afternoon bowling in all but a couple of the local malls. (g)

Nice to see the well-heeled keeping the money in circulation..... $1100 for a purse.....unreal.
